A Few Ideas for the Fellowship

I've been interested in 60's cultures/v. countercultures lately.  Things like the British invasion of Swinging London down to the effects of the division of Germany after World War II have made me want to create something based on these internally conflicting cultures in Europe.
Granted, I don't know how much I could find (particularly the remnants of this period) in the present day.  If I really want to pursue this idea, I'll need to find which area interests me most and what I can do there to get the most out of the trip.  This experience of studying cultures in their natural environment could easily give me inspiration for projects this year or later in life.  As an animator I lean towards making an animation as my end result, though inspiration is inspiration and the ideas this trip could give me could start many different kinds of products.
I'm good at traveling and keeping deadlines.  I am also a good culture sponge.

Internship Aims

Here are some places I've been interested in applying for internships in the future are:

Warner Brothers Animation:  This company creates some of the most developed TV cartoons on basic cable.  They cover such a wide spectrum of shows from superhero cartoons to Looney Toons.  Throughout their long run, Warner Brothers Animation has set the standard of TV cartoon excellence.

Cartoon Network Studios:  This studio is directly connected with Turner Broadcasting so its constantly making work directly to television.  Cartoon Network has become one of the biggest networks for airing animation and offers many shows and departments to step into.  It has been a consistent network at offering quality programming with a variety of styles and for a variety of ages.

Frederator Studios:  Still relatively young but full of energy, Frederator has brought about many Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon classics into motion.  The company looks very open and welcoming to new ideas and interns.  Its fresh and current styles make whatever Frederator creates trendy and entertaining.

Disney:  Disney has been the training ground for many great animators and continues to succeed in the movie and television industry.  It has a very stable financial situation and would provide thorough training of skills and equipment.  It would be a chance to be a part of the longest running and most successful animation studio ever made.

Meeting with Gadsby

I had a nice meeting with Gadsby.  She had asked I bring a resume with me.  After looking at it she gave me a lot of advice on what to cut out of it and what to put into it instead.  Hearing that I am technically a senior by hours and I'd be here another year or two she wanted me to work hard this semester at making a demo reel that could land me a local internship for the spring.  This, and the work I'd do in my spring classes, could springboard me into a big summer internship by applying for the portfolio merit scholarship.  This sounds exciting and I'll have to work extra hard for it.  It sounds like a great (and not impossible) goal to aim for.

New Idea

Megan and I have reconsidered our idea and thought of a funny story.  This one is a play off of Cinderella.
Elevator Line:  A college student must find the girl of his dreams using only the bra she left behind at a party, but this chase may only worsen their possibilities of being together.

Basically, at a Halloween party a guy meets a girl (both fully costumed) and really hit it off.  She changes before she leaves and forgets her bra amongst the guy's cluttered room.  He figures if he can find who the bra belongs to he will find that girl again.  Humorous antics follow him on his quest, but when the girl finds out someone is running around with her bra she gets really mad.  Eventually through the help of friends and discovering the truth for themselves, the two start over and become friends.

It's a comedy and it'll follow the guy, the girl, and their sidekick friends.
